Take the Leap with Perspectives
This year’s A Disciplined Life® Gala gave us the opportunity to celebrate another year of our students’ accomplishments and our growth as a network. This year’s theme, Take the Leap, inspired us to think about how far we’ve come and, more importantly, how far we plan to go.
On April 27th, we recognized our A Disciplined Life® award recipient, Samuel Mendenhall, for his leadership, support, and dedication to Chicago students. We also heard from our students, alumni, educators, and Board members. We hope that you continue to find inspiration in our students and their achievements.
Together, we raised over $376,000 dollars we need to continue investing in the many programs and wraparound services Perspectives provides students every day. On behalf of the Perspectives’ family, we are grateful for you! Thank you for taking the leap with us!
We dedicate our evening together to our school community and to those who have lost loved ones to gun violence. Perspectives Charter Schools is unreservedly against any form of violence and we will continue to work towards building a more peaceful world for our students.
We’re more than a network of schools; we are a family. Thanks to generous donors, supporters, and our community we continue to take the leap in our efforts. Perspectives can continue investing in our city’s future leaders.

Social Emotional Learning
A Disciplined Life® is our social emotional learning curriculum and set of 26 principles. This is the foundation of Perspectives. Our 26 principles teaches students to have positive self-perception, healthy relationships, and the tools for productivity.

Experiential Opportunities
We use the city as a classroom. Students at Perspectives gain skills, confidence and insight from field studies, community action initiatives, and career shadowing.
