About Perspectives Charter Schools

We are a network of five open-enrollment public charter schools serving students in grades 6-12. Our campuses are located in Bronzeville, South Loop, and Chatham. Students must reside within Chicago’s city limits to enroll.

Perspectives Charter Schools enrolls new students on a first-come first-served basis depending on seat availability. To find out seat availability, you can contact the Perspectives Enrollment office by emailing enroll@pcsedu.org or calling (773) 358-6141.

Perspectives Charter Schools is currently enrolling for the 2024-25 academic school year. Students entering grades 6-8 and grades 10-12 can apply by clicking on the links below. Once you complete a new student application, you will receive an email with instructions on how to enroll your scholar.

All incoming 9th grade students apply through GoCPS, a universal application that allows families to explore and apply to high school programs of interest through one online platform. If you are interested in a seat offer at one of our four Perspectives high schools, please log in to your student’s GoCPS account to request an offer or join a waitlist. If you have any questions about your student’s GoCPS account, you can contact CPS Office of Access & Enrollment at 773-553-2060.

Perspectives Charter Schools (PCS) has established the following policy regarding student admissions:

On a predetermined date in February, a public lottery for all grades other than 9th grade, will be held to determine admission to PCS for applications received by a pre-determined deadline at PCS Central Office (1530 S. State St., 2nd floor). All rising 9th graders will be admitted through the GoCPS universal high school application. Applicants are invited to attend the lottery if they choose. The lottery is network-wide and not specific to one PCS campus. Once applicant has been accepted through lottery, they enroll at the campus of their choice based on seat-availability. Seats are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Admission to PCS is based on the applicant successfully completing their previous years’ grade. Rising 10th, 11th and 12th grade students must submit transcripts for principal approval prior to enrollment to confirm that proper credits have been earned and student is on-track to graduate on time.

All applications received prior to the established deadline will be eligible for participation in the admissions lottery. Applications received after the lottery will be held on a numbered waitlist until open enrollment begins, depending on offers extended and seat availability.
